Five cover listings state 8 to 21 in. The other six state five different figures: 20 in as one number (2 listings), 16 in as one number, 18 in as one number, 8 to 16 in and 8 to 20 in.
Some of those are ranges and some are a single number. A range prints both ends; a single number prints a deep end only, and this site does not invent a shallow end for it.
Read together, every stated pocket here contains a total from 8 to 16 in. Past 16 in the listings part ways, and a total can sit inside the pocket of a cover and outside the pocket of another cover of the same size.

What goes wrong
Treating the range of a single cover as if it were every cover’s. Listings of the same size can give different deep ends, so a total near the top of one range can land outside another.
What the listings do not say
The single-number listings do not say whether their figure is a maximum, a typical fit or something else. This site reads it as the deepest fit and prints that reading on every row where it is used.
